A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of the terms entered through those boxes.

When an email is sent to us, we retain it as needed to answer. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.

Our systems receive basic technical details whenever a page loads:

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Lea County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to records held by Lea County offices, New Mexico courts, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Records Bureau, and the New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the site's search boxes. Their own privacy terms govern any information submitted through those tools. We do not control a provider's retention or disclosure rules, so review that provider's policy before running a query.

Links may lead to Lea County agencies, New Mexico court portals, state offices, legal resources, or private search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal details.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for targeted ads. We do not run that outside tracking.
